Witchford Village College is an expanding village college for Years 7 to 11 located two miles west of the historic city of Ely and we are part of the Eastern Learning Alliance.
We require an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher of Languages to join a successful and dynamic Faculty. As a school, we are innovative in realising the potential of all our students and we offer an excellent, supportive environment in which to work. There is an extensive CPD programme for all staff and the Languages Faculty is highly collaborative, which leads to the production of excellent resources for students. Student attainment is high, with 62% of students achieving a Grade 8 or above in French in 2023, and 78% in Spanish. EBacc uptake is around 50% for our current Year 10 cohort, and recent Language opportunities have included residential trips to Nice and Sevilla.
There is a strong culture of creativity with all students using their own iPad to learn in an engaging way.
