Location: Impington & Chesterton Sports Centres, Cambridgeshire


ELA Active Ltd is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Level 2 Swimming Teachers to join our growing swim school team across Impington and Chesterton Sports Centres.


This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality swimming lessons within a professional and supportive environment, working as part of a well-established programme following the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework.


We are looking for flexible instructors who can support regular lessons and provide cover
across our busy weekly programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, engaging, and progressive swimming lessons following the Swim England framework.
  • Teach swimmers aged 3 years through to adults across a range of abilities.
  • Support swimmers in developing technique, confidence, and water safety skills.
  • Maintain accurate class registers and provide constructive feedback to swimmers and parents.
  • Work collaboratively with Swim Assistants and lifeguard teams.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, safety, and customer care.
  • Provide flexible lesson cover where required.

Essential Requirements

  • Swim England (ASA) Level 2 Certificate for Teaching Swimming (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.
  • Strong focus on safety, learning, and customer experience.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and provide cover shifts.
