Lead the fun. Make memories. Shape the experience.

We’re looking for an experienced, proactive, and enthusiastic Holiday Club Supervisor to lead the Monstrous Fun Holiday Club team and deliver outstanding holiday provision for children aged 5–11.

Working closely with the Sports Centre Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the club, supervise Playworkers, and ensure that every child enjoys a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident leader with experience in childcare, youth work, or education to step up and take ownership of programme planning, staff coordination, and safeguarding in a vibrant holiday setting.

Why Monstrous Fun with ELA Active?

At ELA Active, we take pride in delivering outstanding, safe, and joyful experiences for children and families. We offer a friendly and inclusive working culture, regular training opportunities, and a chance to make a lasting impact during school holidays. Safeguarding is central to everything we do – and we are looking for staff who share that commitment.

We value creativity, teamwork, and child-centred care – and we’re looking for a supervisor who brings energy, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead exciting, structured activity programmes in collaboration with the Sports Centre Manager.
  • Supervise and support Playworkers, including delivering refresher training before each holiday block.
  • Liaise with the Duty Manager throughout the day on any safety or operational concerns.
  • Ensure a high standard of care, safety, and behaviour management across all sessions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for parents, staff, and external activity providers.
  • Maintain accurate records, incident logs, and reports, ensuring policies are followed at all times.
  • Monitor equipment needs, health and safety issues, and report concerns promptly.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive environment for all children, including those with additional needs.

What we’re looking for:

  • Significant experience working with children in a play, education, or care setting.
  • Proven ability to supervise or lead teams in a childcare or activity-based environment.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and risk management.
  • Confident in planning and delivering a wide variety of engaging activities.
  • Comfortable in a swimming pool environment and willing to get into the water to support and engage with children through play.
  • Ability to train, support, and motivate staff effectively.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Energetic, approachable, and passionate about high-quality play and learning.
  • Flexibility to work at multiple sites and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • An Enhanced DBS clearance (this will be arranged as part of pre-employment checks)

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Level 3 qualification in Playwork, Childcare, Youth Work, or related field.
  • First Aid certification (Paediatric First Aid preferred).
  • Experience supporting children with SEND.
  • Awareness of health and safety legislation in childcare settings.

What we offer:

  • Leadership opportunity within a respected and growing holiday club.
  • Comprehensive training including safeguarding and child protection.
  • Supportive team environment.
  • Free use of sports centre facilities during employment.
  • A meaningful and enjoyable job that makes a real difference during school holidays.

If you’re ready to lead the Monstrous Fun team and inspire children through safe, creative play, we’d love to hear from you.
