Eastern Learning Alliance are looking to appoint an enthusiastic IT Technician. This is a varied role, which offers many opportunities to strengthen knowledge and gain experience in an exciting educational environment working with a skilled professional team who will help to create exceptional places of learning in our Trust.

Working closely with the Network Manager, the focus will be to provide technical knowledge and support to staff and students in all aspects of ICT equipment and software use, setting up and maintaining ICT and Media equipment, installing software and hardware – including the updating of drivers and anti-malware software, service packs, software patches and updates. You will be playing a key part in supporting our innovative scheme to offer iPads and Chromebooks to all students. In addition, you will be administrating user accounts for staff and students, setting up and operating College visual and audio systems, attending our events and functions, where necessary. You will also assist the Network Manager with the maintenance of the Trust websites and digital signage systems and the Trust ICT network infrastructure, including working on the future development and expansion of systems to ensure that the Trust is able to provide excellent learning resources and classroom experiences.

This role requires someone with good knowledge and working practice of the Microsoft 365 productivity tool set, an appreciation of multi-user networked environments with a varied range of devices. You will have excellent communication skills with a commitment to deliver an outstanding service. Just as important as your technical skills, you will be the kind of person who takes ownership of issues and manages them through to resolution. So bring your talents to Eastern Learning Alliance, and be part of our friendly, welcoming and supportive team.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. All staff will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
