Main Purpose of the Role

  • Maintain and develop key sections of the schools Management Information System (SIMS);
  • Maintain and develop key sections of the school data analytics system (SISRA) and other associated systems (such as FFT)
  • Work with the key link in the Senior Leadership Team to assist in the collation, analysis and distribution of assessments and reports on relevant data;
  • Provide regular, clear and concise information in-line with assessment points;
  • Maintain a complete whole school target setting process;
  • Responsibility for ensuring all teaching colleagues have access to all the accurate and timely data necessary to assist in raising the progress levels and attainment of all pupils;
  • Provide analysis of exam results, and information to relevant stakeholders;
  • Ensure and supervise the accurate input and integrity of data and system maintenance;
  • Raising attainment and ensure the effectiveness of student learning by contributing to the development of data systems, tracking systems, and data analysis systems;
  • Ensuring statutory requirements for reporting are met.
  • Complete and submit the statutory school census
  • Co-operate with audit procedures as necessary.
  • Production and maintenance of relevant student information as required eg class lists, up-to-date timetables, student photographs    
  • Compile data and maintain records in respect of class pupils, assisting with analysis of statistics and data as required
  • Produce mark sheets in Sims Assessment Manager for data collection
  • Ensure correct student timetables are held in Sims
  • Support with administration and completion of student reports
  • Support with Data Helpdesk queries (tickets)
  • Produce data for staff on an ad-hoc basis

  • To play a full part in the life of the ELA and School community, to support its distinctive vision and ethos and to encourage staff and students to follow this example.

Safeguarding

  • To be aware of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and to report any concerns in accordance with the Trust’s Safeguarding/Child Protection policies
  • To undertake regular safeguarding/child protection/prevent training, adult protection training as required by the Trust

Qualifications and Experience:  
Minimum of C in GCSE English & Maths 
Honours degree or equivalent 
Knowledge and Understanding:  
Knowledge and understanding of the data requirements of schools 
Ability to interpret or analyse data and information or situatons in order to make a decision or recommendation 
Knowledge of a variety of ICT applications including Excel 
Experience of data input and manipulation 
Knowledge of SIMS  or other Management Information Systems 
Knowledge of SISRA or similar data analysis platform 
Knowledge of secondary accountability measures, including Progress8 
Skills and Abililites:  
Excellent organisational and time management skills 
Ability to plan and implement systems to maximum use 
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
Ability to produce written reports suitable for a variety of audiences 
Willingness to learn new approaches and commitment to own personal development 
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children:  
Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children
Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours
